Rice cake and vegetables in coconut milk (lontong)




Vegetables in coconut milk (lontong):
Heat oil in a wok and add blended garlic, onion, chilli paste, and turmeric powder. Stir-fry until aromatic. Then add coconut milk and vegetables like foo chuk, long bean, cabbage, carrot, baby corn, cauliflower, eggplant, beansprout etc. Then add beancurd(fried and cut into small piece) and vermicelli. (suhun)
Add sugar and salt.

Spicy chicken:
Heat oil in a wok and add ginger, lemon grass, onion, turmeric leaves, kaffir lime leaves, garlic, and tamarind paste. Stir-fry until aromatic. Then add chicken, sugar, and salt. Cook until soft.

Fried chicken and long beans in soy sauce

Method:
Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, ginger and garlic for a few minutes. Then heat a wok and stir-fry the chicken. Add long beans, onion, chilli and sweet soy sauce.

Method:
Fry eggplants and long beans till soft. Then add garlic, onion, chilli and sweet soy sauce.

2 tbsp plain flour

sesame.

Fish head curry

Ingredients:
Fish head
Curry powder
2 clv Garlic and 4 clv onion- sliced
1 inch of ginger
Curry leaves
Coconut milk
Vegetables( egg plant, lady finger, tomato, green chilli, carrot)
Sugar and salt
1 stick of cinnamon
1 star anise
3 clover
1 tsp tamarind paste

Beef in sweet soy sauce

Ingredients:
garlic, ginger, salt and black pepper powder- to marinate beef.

long bean or any other vegetables.

Squids in mixed vegetables

Ingredients:
Squids - marinate with salt, pounded garlic and turmeric powder
Onion
Baby corn
Carrot
tomato
Long bean and any other vegetables
Kaffir leaves (daun limau purut)
Red chilli
Some sugar or MSG (optional)

Method:
Heat cooking oil in a wok.stir- fry squid in 1 minute. Add kaffir leaves and vegetables.Then add a little water and sugar. Cook until the gravy has thickened.
